I did a small run with both black and grey TPU on my Bambu X1C for the rings, because why not? I figured I could hand them out to other ham buddies who have this rig. Initially, I made the knobs out of PETG and they were certainly better than the originals but didn't care for the swirling on the top of the print, it just felt bad. I decided instead to print a few runs on my 3D resin printer, a Creality Halot Sky.If you're slicing this for resin, you will want to pitch to 45 degrees and support on the backside only. For mounting hardware, I went with an M3 set screw instead, which required me to drill and tap for M3 in the acrylic. They turned out amazing and unless you look really closely, they appear to be bought and not made. This is a wonderful, simple model that adds a lot more enjoyment to an already fun radio. I just wish I had thought of it first because I'd totally be selling these (I'd have shared, too though)! Top notch upgrade, thanks for making and sharing!
