Hello! I've recently completed doing the AM8 upgrade to my Anet A8, and needed a replacement spool holder for it.

I didn't want one that needed screws, and I wanted to have more than 1 spool on it.

So I found the one remixed by denos, and modified it a bit so that it could be used like you see in the picture!

The STL I've provided works with 608 sized bearings (The ones people used in fidget spinners)

I've changed the model a bit from the picture by cutting off a bit from the top so the bearing can be flush with the print, instead of 4mm inside, or having space inside. This way it will be MUCH easier to align them :)

The rods they ride on are 8mm thick. The ones I got were 400mm long. Though you can just find the length you need for how many spools you want to store.

I'd suggest printing end caps for the rods, so that any spools on the ends wont slide off as the rollers spin. Just simple cylinders of 8mm ID and say, 12mm OD, should do the trick.

Supports:

Resolution:

Infill:

25%*

Notes:
*For infill, you should use more if you get some real long rods that will hold A LOT of spools.
I've printed mine at 50% infill, and it works fine with 5KG worth of plastic on it :)

Model origin

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Pretty much made it so you'd only need to print the one piece, while opening up the bearing center hole so you can run a 8mm rod through it.
