Hi - I'm getting ready to print your machine and I've been ordering all the hardware, etc. My question is that I ordered the #7, 12 gauge cylinder needs from Angora Valley and they look awfully small! Did I order the correct ones? Please see attached picture.

Only made the starting basket from these files and it worked as designed. I didn't notice I printed one for a 60 needle cylinder but still made it work. Used tree supports to hold the fingers up during printing and used up some garage treasures for the eyebolt and weights, some hanging and some filling as I learn. It got me to the point of being able to make a starting bonnet for the next cast on. Thank you for the designs!

@MadL Enjoy. I see you also made the V2. You will have a lot of fun! There are a lot of solution's for using weight. (edited)

Hi, I've printed v1 without any problems, assembled it etc.. however, when I try to cast-on and knit its just a complete nightmare - the needles are like only say 30% are either grabbing the yarn and or like the latch on the needle doesnt drop down and therefore doesnt trap the yarn ready for the following stitch. Im really struggling to figure out what i need to do, so thanks in advance for any help to point me in the right direction

This is by far the biggest/longest project I have printed on my Prusa. Used PLA and presented to my sister for Christmas. She already wants version 2!

@PrintHermit_358304 Enjoy and version 2 is way way better. So happy for your sister. She will love V2!

Can’t wait to print this next. I love that ppl have printed pieces in different colors or color changing. SO FUN.

I found it really exciting to build my own circular knitting machine and get my first experience with a bigger 3d-printed project. The instructions were rather clear I would say, my girlfriend helped me build whatever I did wrong in the end :P I was a bit lost at the hardware store to find the righ screws and bolts, but I think I managed ok in the end. I think to print the gears super clean it would be good to have more experience with printing, as there was a lot of stringing and unclean surfaces (a p* in the a* to clean). I printed the cylinder with support – will never do that again, I couldn't clean it at all, so this is why my machine is not working super well.

Does anyone know of an stl file for a crescent shaped tool to lift the needles when doing heels/toes? I have been looking around and unable to find one. Thanks!

@bryshmy126_528718 Its right in this project. Look in the files. Needle Lift Tool.3mf

I’m so excited to get this going! I used a couple of screws and spring from the old print, and repurposed a piece of plywood to clamp on my tray so I didn't have to drill a hole in it and can put it away when I’m not using it.

I love this filament! In different light it changes from blue to purple.
