This remix uses the Filament Guides of the “COBRA System for Original Prusa Enclosure" to set up a system for the MMU3 with all five spools inside the enclosure including the buffer.
The following Parts/Models are used for the complete system:
Filament Guides of this model (Remix of COBRA System)
3 Additional PTFE Tubes, for the other 2 tubes the original MMU3 PTFE tubes are long enough
Remix of the MMU3 Cassette Compatible Buffer
5x Buffer Cassette R4 with Loading Aid
Frame Mount for Cassette Compatible Buffer
Original Spool Holder for Top Right Side and Back Left Side
Left Version of Spool Holder for Top Left Side
Extra Long Spool Holder for Left Bottom Front and Right Bottom Front Side
The Original Spool Holder Arm is usable only on left side (Spool 3/4/5), do not use on the right side because the spool could collide with the Nextruder or the printing part
75mm Spool Holder Arm usable for Spool 1/2/3/4/5
68mm Spool Holder Arm (file Arm_Prusament.stp) preferable for Spool 1 and 2
I did not use the Spool Holders of the COBRA System because they have fixed arms. So when i need to move the printer inside the enclosure for any reason, it is not possible without removing the spool holders.
Last but not least: Hinged Lid for Prusa Enclosure, not essential but makes access easier to Spool 5, the MMU3 unit and the Buffer
Follow each model's instructions for installation
For detailed Information see COBRA System Assembly Instructions
Mounting Instructions Filament Guides:
note the part numbers on the picture
start with
part 1 mount on the right side at middle hight
part 2 mount on the right side at the top
part 3 mount on the left side at the top, dont forget to attach the thermometer
part 4 mount on the left side at middle hight
open the top lid if not done yet
part 5 mount on the top left side at the middle
part 6 mount on the top left side near the front
part 7 (B) mount on top front to the left
part 8 (A) mount on top front to the right
part 9 mount on the top right side near the front
now use the ptfe tubes and mount it from each spool input to the buffer, and from the buffer to the mmu3.
mount the 5 spool holders and arms, note the arm length to avoid collisions.
attach the spools and feed the filamets to the mmu3.
you are ready to print.
Printing instructions:
use PETG, 0.2mm Structural, 0.4 nozzle, 25% infill, no supports
The author remixed this model.
colored the numbers on the filament guide-1 to 5 for mmu3 printing
changed guide-1 and guide-4 so that you can remove the printing support-edge easily, see picture below
shortened left side-guide (6) because there is no need for 5 PTFE tubes
