@ArthurGrigor_1861219 I haven't tried feeding TPU.
oh so need this! man that is one heck of an annoying issue!
Great job with the mounting point
@ReportProcess_547553 Do I forgot to include the nut with the z carriage model? (edited)
@Henlor I didn't see it with the arm step file, I used an online step to stl converter to get my working file, if you included it the converter dropped it out of the stl.
This is superb... any chance of posting the macro to use it... for us, non coding peeps. :)
@BloodSteyn The K1 wipes in this location already.
I am not t he only one that had the idea of putting magnets inside those holes on the cover, what I did was use countersunk flat head bolts since I didnt like the socket head slightly catching when I lift the lid up, and I thought about using magnets to help secure the top piece a little more.
@Nerd2_294712 Yeah, the steel cap bolts fit well into the cavities in the lid with the magnets helping to hold it down.
@ReportProcess_547553 Dude I didn't even fully pay attention you mentioned two holes didn't have magnets and I found out today two holes do have magnets and was surprised I didn't see that sooner. I sometimes think I'm not completely stupid, but end up doing something like this.
Great stuff, thanks for your efforts - my 'Bayern edition' K1C (sticker now removed :-) ) is now resplendent with red hinged, vented risers...!!
What is that white fitting called, its specifications/dimensions, and does anyone have a source for it other than destroying the original? I'd like to use this rather than the taller ones for less lateral loading as mine runs in a secondary soundproof enclosure and the feed bowden feeds from above. I'm not finding anything similar in my searches.
@Yodog_229737 check this size of the collar, I have found there not a standard size.
@ReportProcess_547553 that's right. I had to adjust the inner diameter of the part to have a snug fit.
I just printed it, but I don't understand how is it supposed to be kept together? The pins should be glued? They came out great, but there is a lot of jiggle and it comes apart.
What an excellent design: it's small enough to fit in the original box to make for an extra special gift. Thanks!
@PumpkinSouffle thanks for the praise and the rating. Cool color combination, thanks for sharing!
Neat idea, but I wonder if there's a possibility of the air going down all the way to the nozzle/hot end and causing other issues.
Have you tried lowering the amperage to the extruder motor? After lowering the amperage, I print PLA with the top lid on, door on, with chamber temps anywhere between 35-40*C without any issue so far, and I do a lot of filament changes, sometimes 6 changes for a single print, no issues. Before, I used to get jams 3-4 times a day with the door and top lid off in winter.
