Description

PDF

This lid replaces the original lid on the PRAKI cereal box container allowing you to feed filament thru a PC4 fitting. Seal container without cutting into it. Use knurled cap to seal container when not in use.

Fitting is sunken into the container a bit to allow the lid to print flat with minimal (manual) supports. Cosmetically best if you print on a smooth PEI plate instead of textured.

Only tested with PC4-M10 feed-thru fitting as that works best. Push PTFE tube thru box for smooth feeding. Pull out fitting and attach end of filament with filament stopper.

Bambu / Orca profiles tested. Prusa profile included, but not tested as I do not have a Prusa printer (yet). STL files included, but only the remixed ones. The remainder, including a PC4-M6 fitting, can be found on woelpi's PC4 drybox feeder

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Lid changes:

  • Decreased diameter of seal ring from 61mm to 60.5mm to match stock PRAKI lid. While it keeps a firm seal, makes it easier to remove than Andrey's original design.
  • Increased height of seal ring slightly to match stock PRAKI lid. Ensures seal ring always goes thru gasket if you don't push it in all the way.

Feeder changes:

  • Increased depth below cap thread by 2mm to allow for gasket ring below cap. You can print the gasket in TPU for better seal, or in PLA to cover bridging lines. If you use 1mm gasket, allows you to screw cap on a bit farther. If you use 2mm gasket, it matches the original depth from woelpi's design. 3mf has 1mm gasket. 2mm gasket in STL file.
