A QUICK OVERVIEW

  • Brace the Z-axis of your Ender 3 V3 SE, add storage bins and cable management.
  • Non destructive, no drilling, no heat inserts.
  • Only needs a few extra screws and mounting tape.
  • Divided into 3 sections -
    • A) Front Storage
    • B) Rear Brace
    • C) Cable Clips.
  • You can attach the front storage without the rear, and vice-versa.

Not tested on an Ender 3 V3 KE, but it should fit if the dimensions are the same.

PRINT RECOMMENDATIONS

  • PETG (Tough PLA should work too).
  • Recommended 30-50% infill.
  • Supports not required.
  • 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm line width.

PARTS (AFFILIATE LINKS)

These are my affiliate links, they do not cost more. But I will make a small commission for every sale, that will help to offset some costs of my future projects.

A) FRONT GRIDFINITY STORAGE BINS

Things you will need:

  • 2 X M3-6 Screws
  • Double-sided Mounting Tape

There is a total of 4 parts you need to print:

  • 1 X Left Mount
  • 1 X Right Mount
  • 2 X Base Plates

There are 2 versions of the base plate, Gridfinity and Lego. Gridfinity is 1X4 and Lego is 6X20. Take note, I have *not tested the Lego base plate*.

B) REAR Z-AXIS BRACE

Things you will need:

  • 2 X Y-Axis Rods (Diameter 8mm, Length 34cm).
  • 2 X M3-12 Screws
  • 4 X M3-8 Screws
  • Double-sided Mounting Tape

I have upgraded my Y-axis to linear rails and reused the rods to brace the Z-axis. As an alternative, you can buy cheap ABS rods from Amazon/AliExpress/eBay.

There is a total of 4 parts you need to print:

  • 1 X Bottom Left Base
  • 1 X Bottom Right Base
  • 1 X Top Left Plate
  • 1 X Top Right Plate

There are 2 versions of the top plates. Use the "LED version" if you have installed LED lights on top.

C) CABLE CLIPS

These are completely optional.

  • C-ROUND-X are clips that attach to the 8mm rod.
  • C-OCTA-X are clips that attach to the bottom “octagon base”.
