String Carry Hook Handle

Purpose

Carrying heavy objects by lifting them up on tiny strings is not ideal: The thin material cuts into our hands and severely limits the amount of weight we can carry that way. This applies especially for string-bound stacks of old newspaper or bin bags. The purpose of this little helper is to alleviate the pain of lugging trash (and other string-bound objects) around.

Usage

Just hook the handle into one or more loops of string which you'd usually grab with your hands and you're ready to go. Slide your fingers through the opening with your palm facing the rounded longer side of the handle of make a fist.

Printing

You can easily print this in PLA or PETG, ideally with enough perimeters at the “hook” end to saturate its cross section. Print it laying flat for maximum strength. Definitely put some support material at the “hook” end and try to avoid it at the rounded part if you can.
