There are a bunch of different EBB36 mounts which are close to what I needed but I don't like for one reason or another.  So I came up with this set, which basically is a remix of the hartk design.

The advantages of my remix is:

  • Y-endstop does not reduce the amount of Y distance available
  • The Y-endstop is not adjustable, so it cannot be knocked out of adjustment
  • The fixed end of the umbilical is more securely held in the extrusion with two tabs
  • The mount is set up so the cooling fan blows across the board to cool the driver as well as the extruder motor
  • The cover holds a 3010 fan for cooling
  • The cover holds up the wires to reduce the potential for them to drop down and foul the y-endstop
  • EBB36 is mounted on the back of the extruder motor, for better or worse, with a stout block connecting the mounting bracket to the CW2 next to the PG7 connector
  • The PG7 mounts have zip tie blocks underneath them to secure the CAN cable so it doesn't shift

The U2C mount is connected to the electronics bay backplane with two sided tape, and raises the UCC board above the power supply (when the printer is up side down) so that all of the connectors are available.

Two print in place PG 7 springo strain reliefs are needed per this link:

Currently my inductive probe and EBB36 cooling fan are powered from my main MCU and the wires are just zip tied to the CAN bus cable.

(3) M3 Heat set inserts are needed for the EBB36 mounting bracket, and M3x8 button head screws for the EBB36 board itself. This arrangement also uses the (2) M3 standoffs included in the BTT EBB36 kit for extra rigidity. M3x12 socket head screws work for this. The U2C board is screwed directly into the plastic with M3x8 button head screws.

PrusaSlicer support enforcers are included for the PG7 on the EBB36 bracket and the cable cover for the fan opening, otherwise supports are not needed.

Update - I found that the motor wires were rubbing against the PG7 mounted on the back and they needed guiding out of the cover, so I added a slot and guide for the wires. This is the second file with just the cover.
