Tablet holder useful for watching movies, teleconferencing or to help turn a phone into a baby monitor. It holds the tablet or phone securely, is well suited for uneven surfaces and can be setup even with the device camera pointing down.
The legs are articulated with indexed positions, so they hold steady and go click, click, click every 12° when you set them up. There are 2 alternative sets of legs available. You can also make them few links longer, but more for an amusement than any greater utility.
Print without supports in the shown orientation. It will come out working well with any standard printer settings, but I would recommend to add extra wall perimeters to all C-links for extra stiffness, especially if you are not printing from PLA but from something less stiff like PETG. PLA full wall infill might be too much.
There are 2 lenghts of post and you need only one. Version 220 is shown in photos. If you need custom lenght, you can shorten it in slicer or let me know and I'll add it.
You will need two M5x25 socket head screws (DIN 912, ISO 4762) and two M5 hex nuts (DIN 934, ISO 4032). Screws can be longer, but will stick out.
First insert the post into the hub clamp. Then insert screws and slide the three hub C-links onto them, top link should be flush with the tablet bottom clamp and the bottom link has hex holes for nuts in it facing bottom of the stack. Lastly, insert the nuts and tighten the hub assembly. Rest should be pretty straightforward.
Links can inserted to C-clamps from the side with a bit of percussive persuasion or pushed in from the front with a rolling motion.
