This is a proper canopy for the FT Spitfire, was quite a pain to model, but I think it looks absolutely awesome.

I recommend printing with 2-3 perimeters and sparse infill, maybe 5%, just for stability. Prints on the back face, no supports. Then, when printed, I cut out just the visible outer wall, removing the infill and the walls that butt against the foam. They are just unnecessary weight, but having them makes it print easily.

Then it's just a bit of paint, it's quite necessary to blend the lower part of it with the fuselage. I printed it black so that the glass could be simply masked out. I also used a piece of black tape to add the window behind the pilot, that is also needed for the proper look.

As for the spinner, all 3 pieces should print just fine without supports, but feel free to add some if needed. Check if it matches the prop rotation direction, mirror if needed. Sized for the recommended ubiquitous 1045 prop.

When assembling onto the motor, the disc and retaining ring go first, then the prop and prop nut. Make sure it's all tight, then push on the cone, and secure the retaining ring in place. The ring is needed to stop it blowing up immediately with centripetal force, although the whole thing is still quite fragile and won't survive many crashes.

BE CAREFUL. It's quite a large piece spinning quite fast, designed by some bloke on the internet. If it's damaged, printed poorly, or assembled incorrectly, it can and will explode and send shrapnel about. TEST to full speed in a safe area before flight.

On my plane I have also added these exhaust stacks, they add quite a lot I think:

Good luck, please share you pictures if you pimp your Spit as well! You can certainly beat my crude hardware store spray paint camo scheme. The roundels I just printed and stuck on with glue stick, if I find the file I'll toss it in as well.
