@rsdesign_262714 280 Aio planned for mid april, come back at 16th

@Kibo_157653 If you need someone for some prototyping, feel free to message me. I got a Bambulab X1C on hand. Also have some parts for testing fitments.

@rsdesign_262714 thanks man, honestly I already have all the files, but am working on a full length youtube video for release (edited)

@rsdesign_262714 Released the 280 variant on kofi for free lmao

@Kibo_157653 nice work, just bought the version. :) Will print them.

@Kibo_157653 printing the last parts. I have a few questions / ideas:

* Is there any way to get the complete model for the 280 variant?
* It would we cool if we get some options for the backspine riser mount, I will mount a FE 3080ti and want to put it directly to the sidepanel and have space between the gpu backside and mobo backside. I know that this would also be possible with some standoffs for the mainboard and the smaller gpu variant. Any plans on that?
* Optional GPU fan mounting (like the Fractal Design Ridge has) (edited)

@rsdesign_262714
1. I have already updated the Kofi-File with the complete .step model, excluding grills & sidepanels
2. Sounds interesting, How much more space do you have in mind?
Is it for active back cooling or general more ventilation space?
3. Sidemounted Fans are possible, but the problem would be if you are satisfied by cable-ties?
On another note the 3mm thick specked sidepanels are not designed for fan placement.

For serious permanent fan mounting I could include screw mounted Sidepanels with screwholes in Beams. (edited)

@Kibo_157653
1. I just redownloaded the 280 variant, cant see any .step file? :P
2. I think just the right space to mount it to the outer 2 screw holes, the main problem for the FE coolers is that they are rather slim, so closer to the sidepanels is better, 2nd problem is the fan design. So what I found was that the standoff mod in the SSUPD Meshi was useful and the extra fans on the Fractal Design Ridge where helping to reduce the fan speed of the gpu fans.
3. I like the idea with screw mounted Sidepanels with screwholes in Beams. Would be also a cheaper version with no need for the magnets and nickel band. I found a pretty cheap CS black screw set on amazon and could basically do the whole with them.

1. Sry, Yep I forgot to add the step file, too many variations to manage,
Will have to wait for weekend
2. If u want a variable/modular backplate, i will think about rolling back the idea of an adjustable backplate, downside:
More screws & flimsy build-rigidity
3. the idea of sidemounted fans itself is nothing new for me.
But aside from my own choice of magnet&nickel,
it would raise the complexity of the build
Sidepanels have to be custom made, screwholes

I will see what i can do

@Kibo_157653
I will start looking into some mods as soon as the step file is available.

Maybe some idea for the sidemounted fans would be a bracket which screws into the frame and is not connected to the sidepanels.

@rsdesign_262714
I revisited some old prototypes from 2021
Maybe this is what you are looking for.
I agree that the magnet solution is too expensive,
So i will experiment a bit with the screw solution as a temporary solution in cost reduction.
I uploaded a revision into the kofi file, under "no magnets mod" (edited)

@Kibo_157653 This looks interesting.

Another question: is there any way to mount the 90 degree riser for the 280 variant?
And did you find time to upload the step file?
