This is a basic compact shell for the Arduboy Mini with room for a small battery…

It prints without supports, and just clips on without fasteners. It has very thin areas in the top and bottom so it looks nice with translucent filamence (picture here in Atomic Filaments translucent smoke black). I suggest 0.2mm layer height.

Update 2/20/24:

Some small tweaks to the design:

  • Improved fit of button and usb-c port holes just slightly.
  • Added some angled support to the bottom so it can still be nice and translucent, but less likely to feel bendy.
  • Added a tiny bit more depth to the inside of the case - the battery I got fit, but barely, so this just gives it a tiny bit more room. If you have a larger battery, I'm sure you can just take the blender file and extrude the parts out some more for more space.
  • Added a tiny tiny bit more depth to the inside of the front of the case, particularly the area which goes over the display connector. It fit before, but I think it was just barely touching that and I'd rather not.

Second small update:

  • Added a pre-made “thick” version which is 3mm thicker to better accommodate 7mm thick batteries which seem common. They do fit in the normal version, but it's tight, so this version may work better for some.
