Option 1. Easy Option Will not void your warranty, no soldering or modifying necessary. Just plug 3 of these premade female to male JST XH 2.5 cables together to extend from the original side mount of printer to the print head.

Option 2 is to take the wire all the way back to mainboard. I ran a extra cable. Tied in parallel to the original, The Runout sensor is N.O. in a V.G.S configuration. So you can have more than one runout sensor. The sensor is Open till the filament is inserted then it completes the circuit. As long you have one sensor complete the circuit the printer will run. Kobra 2 Series printers only uses 2 wires V and G The V wire has 3.3v on it. G wire is Ground. I prefer to take the wire all the way back to main board to make connections. Now you can easily move sensor where you want and leave wire in place. These are the cables I used to run all the way back to mainboard, They are also long enough to top mount your runout sensor https://a.co/d/8lwzMiN.
If need extra JST connectors here a link to one that work. https://a.co/d/2w8zvP3
Also if you need some good cheap tools to take apart a JST connector Harbor Freight has these 6 Piece Pick Set 6 Piece Pick Set (harborfreight.com)
If anyone wants how to learn more about JST connectors , What they are, how to remove, how to crimp, how make your own cables. Good video if your new to using JST connectors.
Will be working on this more. functionality will stay the same just cosmetic upgrades. Will document changes with dates
