Gale's Game

This is a small 2 players board game inspired form the Gale connection's game.

Duration of a game approx. 2min and can be extended to approx. 10min by connecting 4 boxes together.

• 1x box
• 1x board

• 15x wood fence
• 1x link (optional, needed to increase the board game size)
• 1x dragon (optional)

Assembly

Install the 4 clips on the box, they will be used to hold the board in the box either in gaming or stored position.

Large board game

You can increase the size of the board game by connecting 4 boxes together with the help of the links. 

Rules

Original

The aim of this game is to connect the two side of the box with the corresponding part (stone wall or wood fence). One player uses the wood fence and the other the stone wall. Wood fences are installed between circle and stone wall between square.

Each turn, players install one part anywhere on the board until one player creates a continuous line between his/her two corresponding side of the box.

Jump rule

The aim of the game still the same except that each players only have 8 parts.

The game begins on the same way as the original rules until players have placed all their parts. At this stage if no player wins, each player during his/her round have to move one of is part from one place of the board to another until one player achieve to create continuous line between his/her two corresponding side of the box.

Print instruction

General

• Material: All parts have been tested with PLA but other material should works fine too. Only dragon have to be printed with TPU but this part is optional.
• Nozzle: 0.4mm
• Layer height:  0.2mm
• Support:  Not required
• Brim: May be used for the clips if you encounter trouble to make it stick to the bed (small contact surface areas)

Color swap (optional)

To make the game more convenient to play I recommend to change the color during the print of a few parts.

I uploaded single color and color swap 3MF and GCODE for the board and the box.

Board color swap instruction

Color swap shall be done at the following layer height:

3.2mm (color change between the board and the columns)

7.8mm (color change for the 2 last layers, makes the shape of the column easily identifiable)

Box color swap instruction

Color swap shall be done at the following layer height:

20.2mm (color change for the centering pins to the same color as the board, only for esthetic purpose, so the pin cannot be distinguished from the board)
