Thanks for the design 👍

Galax Black PLA

Awesome case, just find the power button VERY hard to depress. Might be better with a more flexible filament.

Any chance you can share the step file for the case itself? I added a remake of the lid with an Isogrid pattern and I'd love to replace the hex vents with the same pattern. I tried a prismatic conversion with fusion and it fails.. and I tried cutting the pattern into a faceted version and it went sideways.. thanks for your consideration.

Fits tight. Pi5 with active cooler, nvme, m2 hat and RTC battery.
Could have a bit more room on the bottom for the "plugs" of the active cooler.
Thanks for sharing!

@RedNeckSkunkWorks Do you have any issues with the case? Did you use supports for the latch on the cover?

@Stamos No real issues except that the fit is very tight making screwing the board in a bit of fun. I did use supports on the latch and on the connector openings.

Very nice design for a compact case though.

case fits the Pi5 very well, ventilation is adequate as well. The issue I ran into is the mini HDMI, it just won't reach. So no monitor signal. Printed a different case with very thin wall, HDMI issue went away. If I am using the Pi fully monitor less, I would give it a 5 star, but using as a retro game and must have a monitor plugged in, I have to take 2 stars away.

@Stamos Reprinted the thin wall port version. Same issue. Looking closer, I realize, the case itself is an issue as it puts a pretty big gap between the port and the case wall.
1st Photo: See the gap between the case and port
2nd Photo: See how the plug is fully against the port wall
3rd Photo: No HDMI signal
4th Photo: Took the case off, everything is working.

@churkl_470863 Thank you for the feedback and the detailed photos. There is a gap to be able to fit the board inside. May be it could be smaller, but I do not have Pi5 to perfect the fitting. There are hdmi cables which are less bulky, but since you found a case that suites better, it's ok.

The original Raspberry Pi case is too small if you have the Active Cooler AND the M.2 Hat in use. This case is perfect for that! Thanks for that

Hello Stamos, no, no issues, easy to print and easy to handle. Thank you for sharing!

Turned out really cool! Great model for this, and all the ports line up perfect. Much appreciated for the model!

FWIW, I did have to trim out the box around the mini HDMI ports for my cable to work (not pictured here), but I also could have probably gotten a different cable to make it work. (edited)

Nice case. The only issue I'm having is the slight bow in the top cover.

Silk Black & Silk Brass

Other issues have been mentioned in the comments with the latch hole being in the wrong place in one of the tall cases. (edited)

@Dan_316778 Hi. Thank you for printing my design. I repair the tall case, now the slit is at the right height.
As for the slight bow in the top cover, I suspect that the tab of the cover doesn't sit perfectly at the slit of the case. Please try and check if the cover seats flat if you flip it up side down. If yes then the size of the cover is ok.
As far as can see from the photo of the cover, the tab is not perfectly shaped. Did you use support for the tab?

@Stamos Thanks for the info, I also suspect it may be the tab latch. I did not use a support on that. I'll add it on future prints for that but will try to file the latch down to get it squared off.

Printed in eSUN PLA+, good fit thanks!

Printed in ASA on the K1 Max, Perfect for a quick and easy case. Thanks.

@Omni_RF Hi, thank you for posting your make. I see you printed the "blank" top lid. You may have issues with high temperature.

@Stamos Thanks for the heads up. It's going to be installed in an external cabinet with very little workload so temperature should be ok but I'll keep an eye on it.
