Just a simple Nema 17 Stepper Motor Mount with integrated Axial Thrust Bearing for CNC Machines.
The Axial Thrust bearing supports the flexible coupler and allows you to use a locking collar on the other end of the lead screw to help prevent backlash and lead screw movement.
NOTES:
This design assumes the following:
The Stepper motor shaft is 15mm long (I cut mine down from 20mm to save a little space).
The flexible coupler is 25mm tall
If your motor mounting surface is 15mm thick, you'll need M3 x 60mm bolts
Stepper motors can get quite warm - I recommend this mount be printed in ASA or ABS.
Use 40% Cubic infill with 4 walls and 5 top/bottom layers.
The required bearing is an Axial Thrust Bearing 9X20X7mm (F9-20M) - I recommend you apply a small amount of grease to the bearings on both sides before installation.
