I liked the original model, it had details and didn't require printing multiple pieces with very little supports.
I found the best way to print was 50% size 75 degree angle (less than 90 degree) with the nose pointing up and using a dynamic line setting around 0.16 mm with a raft. The back side of the wings are very thin and if you use a larger setting you may have trouble getting the fine detail at half size. YMMV
