I've been frustrated with pronoun pins that are so small that I need my bifocals to read them. So, made a set that is significantly larger. Like 85x50 mm (that's 3.33x2 inches for us Yanks!)
Using Twanne's Cloud SCAD file, the famous HarlanDMii Write.scad library and building my own customizer on top of it, I've made a fully customizable 3D printable pronoun pin. A number of common choices are pre-coded, but those using neopronouns can still make a custom option.
The text is able to be set to use two or three colors total in the badge. If you want suggestions of colors to use, the Gender Wiki has lots of information, including colors people in the community have used for themselves. The one pictured here for me, for instance, is themed around Demigirl.
Printing recommendations:
Filament - any PLA
Layer height - any (I used .4mm with variable layer height)
Infill/Walls - your defaults are more than enough
Color changes - 5.15 mm (and 7.1 mm if using 3 colors)
Ironing - default settings, really makes the surface look professional
Post-print construction:
Put on any strong pin backing. I used these pins from Amazon and a bit of super glue and they've been amazing on all the prototypes. All said, $.34 in filament and pin backs that most crafty types want to have on hand anyway seems like a steal!
The author remixed this model.
