@AndreaP_1256965 A little bit of everything. If you used the pillar with built-in fillers, super glue or tacky glue has been my go-to.
If you use the standard pillars I use hot glue or construction adhesive.
If you are worried about any of your glues keeping complex shapes with large play glue some food box card or poster poster board to the top and bottom, and then cut out the shape. This will help add that extra bit of connection to keep them rock solid. I keep intending to add such pieces as printable add-ons but life has a way.
