2U Vented Panel for 1U Rack Mount Shelf

The model covers the front of a 1U rack mounted shelf that occupies 2U of rack space. It sounds strange I know. 

This panel allows for excellent airflow for anything sitting on your 1U shelf while keeping it hidden and away from prying fingers and eyes at the same time. It creates a clean visual aesthetic and is heavily inspired by the Ubiquiti Networks Rack Mount Ventilated OCD Panel.

I wanted a way to cover small network devices (like single board computers, small switches, etc) sitting on the shelf while still keeping a clean look visually in the rack. 

I printed the part in PETG with 2 perimeters and 15% infill but any filament type should work equally fine. Supports are not needed but a large printer is. Print as placed. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws when securing to the rack. 

The vented cover was designed to work with the StarTech 1U Server Rack Shelf (CABSHELFV1U) but may work with other shelves too.
