This case is a remix of the ODROID N2 case sold by AmeriDroid. This version makes it easy to print without supports and requires no hardware to use with the N2/N2+. The case protects the components from damage and dust.
Special thanks to Hardkernel for providing the original STEP files.
If you want to mount your N2/N2+ to a wall, check out my mounting bracket here.
The OROID N2/N2+ is a fantastic single board computer with roughly 2x the power of a Raspberry Pi 4. The N2+ powers the Home Assistant Blue device and I highly recommend it.
Printing
- Print in PLA, PETG, or PC. If the N2/N2+ will be in warm conditions or overclocked consider using a heat-tolerant filament like PETG or PC instead of PLA.
- Print using a .2 or .3 layer height.
- 2 Perimeters/shells.
- STLs are pre-positioned in the correct print orientation.
- Supports not required.
Usage
- When using with a MicroSD card, plug the card in prior to attaching the case. The card can be removed/inserted with the case on, but ease of SD card access was traded in this version for easier printing. I recommend using eMMC modules with the N2+ over SD cards.
- To expose the GPIO header, carefully trim the tabs on top of the case.
- When attaching the case, slide the “lip” of the walls into the corresponding side grooves of the N2/N2+ heatsink. The wall “lips” can be seen in the posted picture of the case on the build plate.
Happy Printing!
