Use this crankshaft spacer after removing the crankshaft pulley to turn the engine with a ratchet. Unlike the spacer described in the workshop manual, this one slips onto the crankshaft and locks into the key. The outside of the spacer is shaped to allow a 1-½" 12 point socket to fit snugly over it so the crankshaft pulley bolt can be left off. In addition, this spacer will allow the ratchet and socket to fit a lot closer to the engine, allowing more room to work. Finally, this spacer, or really, a socket insert, is about 3 cm long and the socket can easily hang on it, as opposed to the bolt which has a short head and is cumbersome to turn with the large 36mm socket.
Version two released. Stronger, fits tighter.
