Remade the model to allow more bending between two rows. Still prints without supports. If you turn on “make overhangs printable”, then you can even print it with the hexagons upwards, if you prefer that.

After printing, let it cool down all the way, and then gently bend every bit until everything comes loose. Tolerances are pretty tight, so you need a well calibrated printer.

I'm able to connect separate patches together by adding a pause at 3.6mm high, carefully threading in the pre-printed part, and then letting the rest print with increased z-hop to hop over the pre-printed bits. In theory you can print arbitrary sizes that way, but it's a bit finicky. YMMV, I'm not responsible if something goes wrong!
