I wanted a way to make sure my geckos had enough water on really dry days, or when I have to go out of town.

This is a gravity waterer, and so relies heavily on a vacuum seal to prevent leakage. This is made to fit incredibly tightly in my adult bowl model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5614344

It's tight enough not to leak, but not so tight that you can't get it off again. The bowl basically acts as a cap.

So, you print one, fill it with water and use a bowl to tightly cap everything. Flip it upside down and set it on your ledge of choice- or at ground level and change every few days to prevent bacteria buildup.

Since taking the photos I have adjusted the holes to allow more water to flow- if you have issue with flow, squeeze the reservoir

I printed this with the flat side up, but it is likely easier to print flat side down. Supports are needed either way. The ring ensures correct tension and prevents flipping to stop spilling.
