This fan duct setup was designed to solve 2 problems:

First, a lot of the aftermarket fan ducts for the Neptune 3 Pro are very difficult to get to print clean, due to requiring a massive amount of support material. This model only requires supports for the platform that mounts to the hotend, printing flat along the side that mounts to the fan body, and prints in 2 parts; one for each side.

Second, the stock fan ducts as well as aftermarket ducts restrict the view of the nozzle during printing. This is usually because these ducts are attached on the top and bottom by connecting walls, which obstruct the nozzle from the front. Since there are 2 separate parts here, the connecting wall is removed.

This is my first fan duct design, but so far it seems to work fairly well. It mounts to the two screws on each side that hold the hotend heatsink fan to the stepper motor using 2 M3x8 screws for each side. The fans mount to the duct using an M3 screw (length is not as important here) M3 threaded insert pressed into the mounting holes on the fans on the side closest to the mounting hole on the duct. If it's requested, I'll adjust the design to use a captive standard M4 nut and M4 screw, but I think the heat pressed insert is cleaner.

Note: Be careful about trapping the wiring on the right side between the fan duct and the side of the stepper, you may notice this in the attached photo. It will change the angle that the duct nozzle pushes air to the hotend.

Print in PETG or ABS, this duct is pretty close to the heater block and will benefit from the higher temperature resistance. If theres a way you think this design could be improved, leave a comment!

STEP files are included for the sake of remixing or adjustments to the design! Hope you like it!
