Gridfinity is the popular Modular Storage System invented by Zack Freedman. This is a remix of his baseplate.

There are already many great remixes of this baseplate out there (e.g. Gridfinity Screw Together baseplate), but I could not find one that is exactly what I needed.

My remix baseplates can be screwed together using standard M3 screws and nuts. I used M3x10 screws for my prints but longer screws work too.

Files for all sizes between 1x1 and 5x5 are provided.

Printing Instructions:

  • Layer height: 0.25mm
  • Support: Not needed

Update June-11th, 2023:

I have uploaded additional spacer parts to the files. These can be screwed onto the side of the baseplate (also with M3 screws and nuts) and prevent it from moving around inside a drawer.

E.g. If you have a 12mm gap between the baseplate and the walls of your drawer, you can either print 12mm spacers and attach them to one side of the baseplate or print 6mm spacers and attach them to both sides. See sample picture in the gallery.

The spacers can be printed upright (stl files are already oriented correctly). The top part with the screw hole can be printed well enough without support if you set the layer height to 0.25mm. I have designed this area with staggered layers so they can be bridged during printing.

Update June-24th, 2023:

I have updated the files and closed the through hole for the magnets so that glue won't leak out. I have also added a version without magnet holes to save a bit of plastic and printing time.

Update July-26th, 2023:

Uploaded STEP files for all the baseplates.
