Create your own Super Mario Bros. Levels on your HSW with these tiles themed on the pixel blocks from the original game!

A collection of tiles based on pixel blocks from the Super Mario Bros. game. These have all been created from scratch in Fusion 360 with a 2.555mm “pixel” size resulting in a base 16x16 block size being 40.88mm. The perfect size for these blocks to sit side by side horizontally on your Honeycomb Storage Wall.

However, due to honeycombs not being equal in distance between horizontal and vertical hexagons, I have provided multiple magnet mounting holes on the back of each tile depending on what vertical “level” your tile is being placed. I have provided more details and layout examples below on the correct positioning to use.

Alternatively, you can stick them on your fridge!

 

HSW Magnet Inserts

I created a large selection of magnet inserts for the HSW that you can download here. However, the tiles all use magnet holes that are 6mm x 2mm as that's what I had available. there doesn't seem to be a standard size people use, but if there is a more widely used size, let me know and I can update the models with holes to fit.

 

Mounting Guide

You can stack tiles infinitely, and each tile has 4 magnet holes on the back with dot notations. The below guide shows magnet and insert positions for every 4 levels high you build. After the 4th level (Level 5) You will repeat the pattern, using magnet hole 1 for level 5, magnet hole 2 for level 6 and so on.

 

You may need to get creative with some tiles, such as the Fire Flower and Piranha that don't really have enough space for magnets (of sizes I had available anyway) but you should be able to stand freely on blocks, or you can use a little double sided tape.

 

Print Settings

I use an AnkerMake M5 with the following settings

  • 2 Perimeters / Walls
  • 0.2mm Layer Height
  • 20% Infill Density (Lines)

 

More Tiles

I'm still in the process of creating more tiles for various other blocks, entities, background scenery and worlds and will update as and when they're done. If you have any suggestions or requests for tiles not yet available please let me know in the comments.
