Original model by 3dpoplauki.

I remixed this model to allow for printing with multiple extruders in order to have two colors on the same layer. This way you can print the coaster design-side down to achieve a perfectly flat top surface. Spots for rubber feet are also included on the bottom!

I’ve included two 3MF files depending on whether or not you have an MMU.

  • Yin Yang Cat Coaster_NO_MMU (will require 1 manual filament change)
  • Yin Yang Cat Coaster_MMU

Both files use the default 0.4mm nozzle profile for the MK3S/+ at 0.2mm layer height. If that's what you normally use, all you need to do is select the filaments you’d like to print with just as you normally would.

If you don't have an MMU and would like to use a different printer profile, you'll need to perform the following steps:

  1. Select your desired printer/print profile.
  2. Navigate to Printer Settings > General > Extruders > set to 2.
  3. Navigate to Printer Settings > Custom G-code > Tool change G-code > add the following code to initiate a filament change when the printer goes to “change extruders”:
    • {if layer_z > 0}
      M104 S{temperature[next_extruder]}
      M600
      {endif}
  4. Navigate to Print Settings > Multiple Extruders > Wipe Tower > disable.
  5. Finally, navigate back to the Platter tab and select the filaments you'd like to use just as you normally would.

That's it! The sections should already be grouped by extruder.

I used a 0.6mm nozzle which contributed to the gaps visible around the more narrow areas of the design, as shown in the model photo. A 0.4mm nozzle would probably be a better fit when printing this model at its original scale, but you can still get perfectly acceptable quality with something slightly larger.
