3D Printed Case for the Kyria Split keyboard

Case files are included for the left and right cases. The right case comes with a variant with and without the Kyria "Sigil" logo.

Update July 1st 2020

Plate file has been updated to correct tolerances and should no longer be too tight.

Get a metal plate, the stiffness of the plate resting atop the pillars is amazing. The weight of the brass plate also gives heft to the case, giving it a more premium feel.

Hardware:

McMaster-Carr should get you the hardware within a week anywhere in the US.

Brass plates cut by: https://sendcutsend.com/ should also ship within a week within the US

Get an instant quote of any material you'd like with the included .dxf file for the plate.

Do yourself a favor and get good heat-set inserts like the ones linked. I tried using cheap ones from amazon that were not tapered and they were much more difficult to set clean and straight without pulling plastic material up inside the threads.

These case files have also made it into the Kyria GitHub at https://github.com/splitkb/kyria if you make modifications or remixes that improve the design, please contribute back to the project with a pull request there.

Creality

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

35

Notes:

Any Infill over 35 percent should be sufficient. The main concern is to give necessary structure to the pillars so that they do not warp when inserting the heat-set inserts.

Plate should be printed at 100% to make it as rigid as possible.
