My grandson (18 Months) loves lights and balls so I created this for him and he loves it.  I printed this in PETG and it has survived many months of being thrown hard onto solid floors so it appears to be very durable.  I made it faceted deliberately as I liked the effect.

The objects are in the correct orientation for printing but will need supports.

The lamp module fits into the 2 inserts, which leaves the charge port exposed.  I used Hot glue to secure the lamp module to the inserts as this gives a bit of cushioning to the electronics and battery.  The inserts then push into the main globe, mine needed a good whack to seat them and are solid but should be removeable for maintenance or for disposal of the battery if needed.  Depending on your print tolerance you may need to glue them in to ensure they stay in place.

PLEASE ALWAYS SUPERVISE ANY CHILD PLAYING WITH THIS.  IT HAS SURVIVED MY GRANDSON BUT AS IT CONTAINS A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY CAUTION IS ADVISED.

Uses a moon lamp light module for the lights.  The light modules have several modes, with a remote to change modes, and come with a rechargeable battery built onto the board.  They are available from various sources e.g. Amazon.  I buy mine from Aliexpress:
