The stock back panel on my Voron 0.1 had been leading to persistent cooling problems for the electronics, so i left it off. Since I wanted to add fume extraction and chamber cooling to my Voron 0, along with the ability to add cooling fans for the MCU and Pi as needed, i ended up with this design on my machine.

This model has a new two-piece pack panel.

  • the top panel has a magnetic coupler that is compatible with Furfoxsake's design, and uses 6x 6x3mm magnets (pay attention to the polarity!) to mate with the hose adapter. I use this as part of my fume extraction setup.
  • there is a place for a 50mm fan that can be inserted through the coupler, and attaches with two m3 bolts and 2 nyloc nuts.
  • the panel attaches with existing m3 bolts to the nuts and heatset inserts on the back of the V0.
  • the bottom panel is attached with regular panel clips clips, and has cooling openings.
  • there are backers and guards for one or more 50mm fans. The backer snaps (loosely) into the hex grid on the back, so you can position the fan over your MCU or stepper drivers. The fan and fan guard goes on the outside, secured with bolts going through the guard, fan, back panel, backer, and finally into nylocs

In order to add extra fans or thermistors, you will need an MCU that has additional fan connections, or add something like a klipper expander (which is what i use).

I printed this in ABS on a Voron 2.4, but PETG should also work, and it should fit on an MK3S.

This an original design (scad files are included), but nod to user Pix for design inspiration.
