The Filament Roller by hardy74 seemed like a good straightforward spool roller to use on top of my enclosure. However, I didn't want to deal with support removal. I split the rollers in half and added “biscuits” for helping align and stabilize the two halves when joining them together. The attached V4 files worked well to create snug fits for me, but YMMV. I've included STEP files of everything so you can tune dimensions as needed. I'd recommend just tuning the “biscuit” since it's a fast print.

  • Per roller, you'll need to print
    • 2x “Split Roller”
    • 3x “Biscuit”
  • For a full Filament Roller, you'll need to double this and print:
    • 4x “Split Roller”
    • 6x “Biscuit”

You'll also need 4x 6200-ZZ bearings. I used these ones from Amazon (non-affiliate link and no idea if they're “the best”; they were just what was available quickly 😊).

I joined my roller halves + biscuits with a bit of CA glue. Enjoy, and thanks to hardy74 for the original design!
