I need to move my Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro printer to a smaller table, which is around 40 cm in depth. However, the original filament spool holder stuck out too much at the rear that I have to pull the table away from the wall to accomodate the printer. The situation is not ideal. Hence, I need to trim around 50mm in the filament spool. As such, I moved the arm of the spool from 45 degrees from horizontal to 60 degrees. The change give me the reduction in depth of the printer that I needed while maintaining the original length of the arm of the holder. Also, I made a sleeve for rotating freely on the spindle of the holder to facilitate easy spinning of the filament spool.
The new filament spool holder is also design to be installed using the original screw holes and screws.
For printing, the frame is a little bit tricky to print. Owing to the shape of it, I have to use quite a lot of support on the arm. Users may experiment with various orientations when printing, in order to avoid using supports. For the spindle and spindle sleeve, I just printed them upright.
The STL files are attached for users to slice GCODE files according to their needs. Also, sample GCODE files are attached for easy reference.
