A wax stamp that should help you mimic the invitations that the characters are sent when they join smash bros.

I couldnt find a model anywhere that was close enough to what I was seeing in the smash character announcement videos. So I made this one.

Getting it to work with the wax was quite difficult, I will explain what I had to do to make it work, but if anybody has any tips to make it easier, please do let me know.

If you just take the model, print it, and try and use it with wax, I suspect you will find that the wax will just end up stuck to the model. I tried a number of ways of solving this, but the key seems to be to lower the temperature of the stamp.

So starting from the beginning, I set a few options in the slicer. I printed with 100% infill to give me more volume to actually cool and stay cold. I also used prusa slicers ironing feature to attempt to reduce the number of small gaps that the wax might have been sticking to. I printed the model mostly 0.25mm but I used the variable line height feature for the top part of the stamp. I printed it on a prusa mini. I have included the G-Code I used on my successful stamp.

Next put the stamp in the freezer for about an hour, after which I did a bit of experimentation with the wax and the stamp. Generally, the wax will be too hot when it is freshly melted, you need to kinda feel out when its cooled a little, but not so much that it has firmed up. Then take the stamp out of the freezer, put it in the wax  and apply some fairly light pressure. Wait for the wax to be completely cool before you try and remove it. If all goes to plan, you should have something like you see in the photo I have included.

Enjoy!
