Connect your PowerPole cables directly to the QCX+!

Additional material required:

After printing the housing of this connector, solder the red PowerPole connector to the center pin of the barrel connector and the black one to the sleeve contact using a few centimeters of insulated wire.

Insert the assembly into the connector housing. Use a multimeter to check the soldering: The red PowerPole contact should be connected to the center pin, the black PowerPole contact should be connected to the sleeve and center pin and sleeve must not be connected with each other.

Now, remove the screws from the corners of the back of the QCX+ and gently pull the back out of the enclosure - you will pull the PCB, too, this is fine. Carefully remove the small screw that connects the 5V voltage regulator (IC11) to the back of the enclosing. Plug in the connector and fasten it using the just removed screw. At this point, it is quite unlikely that you supply power with wrong polarity, so you could remove the Schottky diode D3 and replace it by a jumper wire, giving you a bit more output power (see manual of the QCX+ for details).

Now, gently insert the PCB into the enclosure and fix it again by reinserting the four corner screws.
