Did a quick design for adding the older creality style hotend to the CR6. I printed it out to make sure it all fits. Be sure to add a washer in-between where the hotend adapter bolts onto the metal bracket create a gap for flexing.

Tested it, works. For the spacer in-between the metal strain gauge bracket and the heatsink I used an M3 nut.

I made an adapter to lower the parts cooling fan shroud as well. The fan shroud extension is slightly angled, so please make sure it fits on the right way. It's very close to the heater block.

The heatsink tube connector sit a little low in the adapter, may need to shave off 2mm from the top or print a 2mm washer for it. It works the way it is, however the blue connector clip below the metal strain gauge bracket and can get a bit difficult to get to without a small screwdriver to pry it off. I have a direct drive so it doesn't need the ciip.

Why I did this mod? I can customize the older style hotend much more than the stock CR6 one because the older ones uses M3 screws instead of M2 screws. I can switch out the hotend when I feed a different size filament.

no supports needed.
