This is a 4 mm thickness counter plate. You can attach it using 4,8 mm pop rivet (x3).
You can use my profile jig from related model Locinox LAKQ & LAKZ Installation Jigs to drill the upper and lower attachment holes with the perfect spacing. The center attachement hole should be drilled using the plate. The oblong holes allow a perfect placement of the plate, make sure using rivets of the proper length that will firmly secure the plate in place and prevent it moving.
The provided file is printing with a .2 mm layer height. This is also set to print 4 perimeters and 30% honeycomb filling for a stronger part.
The insert is featuring a M8 tapping. You need 2 units in total. You can use it to firmly hold together the attachment spacers & screws that are provided with the Locinox lock. It will prevent to loose the spacer into the profile tube when assembling or disassembling the lock. It will also perfectly center the spacer with the screw.
The tapping will be a little hard to screw right after the print, but use the provided screw to worn the thread and it is going to be fine.
I recommend to print with .1 mm layer height for better definition of the filet. Nothing specific other than that.
The lock is already delivered with 2 plugs in a black colored plastic. I wanted white so I printed mine.
The provided files are setup to print the base with as solid layers up to the skirt. Then the skirt is printed with vase mode. I recommend printing .1 mm layer height. Keep in mind that due to using vase mode, you can only print one plug at a time.
