This is an adjustment jig for the DeWalt DWE 7492 and the DWE 7485 table saw. The set consists of multiple pieces for the adjustment of the fence and the blade relative to the miter slots of the table.

Please pick the right extension sheet matching your type of table saw (either DWE 7492 or DWE 7485). I hope I got the dimensions of the DWE 7485 right, please let me know it the extension is too long or too short. I only own the DWE 7492 and still wanted to provide the jig also for owners of the DWE 7485.

The assembly is done with M6 screws. You can either use M6 screws with hexagonal head together with star knobs or nuts or other M6 screws in combination with nuts (see pictures). In the second case, the screws cannot be too long, otherwise they exceed the depth of the mitre slots.

The pieces are made of PLA. For the slider, I used PET, because I believe it has a bit more abrasion resistance. In the end, it probably does not matter and you can use PLA or PET for any of the pieces.

Bill of materials

  • The printed pieces
  • M6 screws and nuts
    • either M6 screws with hexagonal head and nuts or star knobs
    • or other M6 screws (max. about 25 mm) with nuts
  • M6 washers
  • Dial indicator with standard 8 mm shaft

How to use

Before you do any adjustments, UNPLUG YOUR TABLE SAW!!

For adjusting the fence, use the mitre slot slider and mount only the fixture for the dial indicator. The fence should NOT be exactly parallel to the mitre slot, but the distance should slightly increase towards the back (≥0.2 mm).  Otherwise you risk kickback!

For adjusting the blade, use the mitre slot slider and mount the fixture for the dial indicator with the extension sheet. The blade should be as parallel as possible to the mitre slot.

(This product is probably good but a bit pricy in my opinion.)

And similar to the model here:

(The major difference is that in my version you can use any kind of screw head.)
