Origin

This is a concept I came upon while thinking ideas for the game token contest. It took a bit longer to give it shape though. The idea was to print a 3d digit counter that printed in place and required no assembly by making the numbered discs concentric instead of having them rotate around a common axis.

Printing instructions

The tolerances for the model are pretty tight, otherwise the parts are either too loose or just stick together during printing. So I've included 3 files each with a different fit, as they may work differently on your printer.

I printed them with a 0.15mm layer height for some extra detail.

Font

The font used in the model is FV Almelo Regular by Studio Floris Voorveld . The line thickness and spacing of the numbers works great in 3d printed parts.

If you would like one with a tighter/looser fit, a 2-digit version, or some other variant just let me know!

Edit 6/23/2022: added a 2-digit version and a tighter version of the 3 digit counter (0.17mm gap between the moving components)
