Parametric spool holder for <= 2.3 kg spools

This spool holder can be used for spools up to 40 cm diameter. It is parameterized on Fusion 360 so that it can be easily adapted to any other size.

Bearings for the cross brace are optional. Bearing size on current model is particularized for 26 mm and 10 mm outer and inner diameter respectively. However, this can be customized updating the parameters “bearing_out_dia” and “bearing_in_dia”.

Printing configuration

I printed these models with a 0.8 mm nozzle for reducing printing time.

Supports on the cross brace model are required. Printed in PLA with 0.55 mm layer height. However, model and 3MF files are provided to adapt the slicer parameters to your needs. 

It is recommended to slice the cross brace with 100% infill on the extremes for further robustness. Check current cross_brace.3mf for reference.
