This model shows in a 3d hemisphere the sun's movement throughout a year as seen from someone on earth. The 3 parallel lines represent Summer Solstice, Equinox and Winter Solstice. Orientation of sunrise, sunset and sun's movement in each season are shown. Sun's azimuth is also shown in each season.

Solar Path is useful to understand sunlighting and shading of houses at different seasons (ex. winter sun has lower azimuth so sunrays travel further through windows) helping develop passive solar architecture. 

Solar Path is also useful to forecast sunrise and sunset orientation at different seasons. It can also be useful at other solar applications like Solar Water Heater, Solar Panels or even Solar Cooking!

Geographic locations are set by latitude. We propose three locations, Greece-Athens(38.4), UK-London(51.5), Oslo-Norway(60). Using openscad you can change models parameter to fit your need, like size, texts or most important latitude.
