Universal filament spool winder with crank

This spool winder works with any(?) 1kg spool with an inner diameter betweeen 40 and 60mm.

This model is a Remix and contains all parts needed from the original (See Luke's 3D Spool Winder v3).

I made this for my wife so she can store her clothsline in a proper way.

Parts to print

Basic frame:

• 2x bearing
• 4x side
• 2x bottom
• 3x rod
• 6x nut

Universal Axis:

• 2x AxisCenterRing
• 1x Axis (Print at 100% infill as this sees a lot of force)
• 3x AxisNut
• 2x shaft-washer (maybe more, depending on your spool)

Handle:

• 1x SpoolHolderHandle
• 1x SpoolWinder Handle Nut
• 1x SpoolWinder Handle Grip

Assembly instructions:

• The basic frame should be easy to figure out (sides and buttom connected with the rods and secured with the nuts). Luke3d has a youtube vid on his version for the cable winder.
• Handle is also easy, plug the grip on the axis and secure it using the nut
• Axis: For this i have added a Picture (true piece of Art!). I hope you can make some sense of it.
  • First install the bearings to the sides with the spacer to the outer sides
  • Insert the axis into the handle
  • Insert the axis with the handle into the bearing (the bearings spacer is outside where the handle is)
  • Add a washer (red)
  • Add a center ring
  • Add your spool
  • Add another center ring
  • Add a Axisnut and scew it tight so the spool sits secure
  • Add another axisnut loosely
  • Add a washer
  • Insert everything into the 3nd bearing
  • Now add the last nut from the outside and use the two nuts to secure the bearing between them, so it can rotate freely.
• If the handle is striking against the body while winding, use an hotgun or hair dryer to heat it up a bit and sliglty bend it outwards. Careful, PLA gets soft very quick.
