Let me introduce you to the Meisterspool - a full-size masterspool design that is assembled from six parts, which makes it printable on the Prusa Mini's 18x18 build plate! And as a bonus requires much less filament to be printed compared to the original design.
The Meisterspool also features additional holes for filament ends, that allow you to wind up to four filament samples onto it at the same time.
And as a final piece of convenience I also made a little clip that will keep the loose filament end in place, when it's not inserted into the printer.
Like the orginal masterspool, the Meisterspool is made of two halves, that let you simply slide a refill filament spool onto it and then screw the two halves together.
But each of the halves consists of an individual basis and two ‘side parts’, which makes three parts per half.
This means: to build a Meisterspool you need to print the two basis parts and four identitical ‘side parts’. The side parts just snap into their basis like puzzle pieces and need neither screws nor glue.
The side parts and top basis print just fine without support, the bottom basis needs a little support. I've added 3mf files for your convenience that you can directly use for printing or just to see, where to add some support.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
