Simple, lightweight, robust, adjustable! Just add a zip tie. One side is flat for the zip head to rest against. To assemble, thread the zip tie through the small part first, then through the rounded side of the big part, place the parts on either side of the the belt, and finally feed the zip tie into its locking head and pull tight. Adding tension is easiest if you pinch the parts together with one hand while pulling on the zip tie with the other.
Sized for 6mm belts, but can easily be scaled as needed for other belt widths.

Hatchbox PLAWhite How I Designed This ===================
Designed from scratch in Sketchup.
I looked around at add-on belt tension designs and didn't see anything that combined adjustability and light weight with a design that looked like it could withstand cyclic fatigue. This is my answer.
