My solid BCAR kept breaking and I was tired of removing all the 55 pins and bearings and replacing them, so I designed a new version of the bcar that is in two sections, a collet that holds the barrel in place, and then a separate bcar part that attaches to the other side of the collet.
The collet mechanism is extremely sturdy, but it should break before the bcar does, saving you a lot of time and filament. I still wouldn't recommend smacking your greg into walls.
For me, this was a drop in replacement and I didn't even need to adjust the sight. Your mileage may vary since this part needs to be perfectly in line with the barrel. There are some mechanisms in the collet to help ensure that.
Print the collet at 100% infill. No supports are needed, you may want a brim.
