A hook and latch for restricting access to drawers. The hook are purposely designed to be thinner at the base to be more flexible and a “button” with indent is added for finger guidance.

Installation instructions:

  1. Mind which side the lock will be placed, left or right viewed standing in front of the drawer, print the appropriate side or preferably use two sets, one on each side.
  2. Open drawer and position the hook so that it just touches the side of the frame, temporary fix with bluetack or double sided adhesive tape.
  3. Make sure of no interference by opening and closing the drawer, then fix the hook to the drawer with two screws (double-check length so that the screws don't go through the drawer front).
  4. Use the hook as a guide to place and fix the latch at the edge of the frame with two screws.

When installed acc. to instructions, the drawer will not be pulled further out than 50mm. To lower the distance, place the latch further inside.

The part is preferably printed in PETG, but I've printed and used this successfully in PLA as well. Layer height 0,2-0,3mm. Printed orientation acc. to pictures, no supports necessary.

NB! Don't use this part to secure potentially dangerous items from the hands of children. This is a 3D-printed part that might break.
