Print-in-place safety lock with an articulated hinge design, swivel base and a twist lock. Each end is fastened with either a screw or by double-sided adhesive tape. If you are using tape, I have included two “adhesive plates” which can be glued to each end/side for a larger contact surface. Note that there are two adhesive plates, one for the swivel base side and one for the twist lock side.
The part clearances are relatively loose and it should be easy to print without making the parts fuse together, but if this is a problem, check so that the first layer isn't too squashed and possibly lower extrusion multiplier and speeds a bit. The hinges and swivels will likely need to be worked in by rotating them a couple of times until they run smooth, a drop of machine oil will help as well.
NB! Don't use this part to secure potentially dangerous items from the hands of children. This is a 3D-printed part that will break and the twist lock function is not that difficult to for a child to figure out.
