Summary Continued:

Did you grow up with a certain blue and speedy hedgehog? If so, then this is the thing for you! This is a fidget consisting of a set of four puzzle pieces and a dish you can fit them all on to be organized.

Lesson Plan and Activity:

Using sketch offsets and drafted extrusions/cuts, you will create a puzzle piece toy fidget. You and your partner will be “accountabillibuddies.” This means you will provide feedback on initial designs and plans, help each other solve problems, and troubleshoot errors as they occur. You are NOT REQUIRED to have identical designs, but having them will certainly make the process easier.

Assembly/Construction Instructions Section (if needed):

First, create an 8 x 6 cm rectangle and extrude it out by 1 cm. After, sketch a Sonic 2D drawing on the face of the rectangle that you just extruded.

Create another reference sketch on the face of the extrude that creates the details for the Sonic face.

Create NEW sketches using this reference and create cuts and extrudes in and out of the shape ranging from 0.015 cm to 0.035 cm (IGNORE THE PUZZLE PIECE LINES IN THE PHOTO).

Next, I created a new sketch on the top plane and uploaded pictures of puzzle pieces and put them up next to each other using the Sketch Picture tool.

Make a sketch of the puzzle piece lines and offset the with the Offset tool. After cut through it using the CutExtrude tool.

Next, an additional design choice I made was the dish. Using the offset tool I made another sketch and extruded it by 0.10 cm,
