I found the open-loop air filtration and ventilation system inefficient and energy-wasting. Therefore I redesigned the air filtration system for my Voron2.4 350. These modifications and upgrades include
- two 6*25 fans from Noctua (6*20 fans are also fine)
- 8 M3*30 screws as the fixture
- 3D-printed parts (uploaded below)
- new 3mm thick acrylic board (laser cutting file uploaded below)
I have installed this system on my voron2.4 350, which operates amazingly well! The wind power of the intake fan can hold a normal tissue tightly (as shown in the image uploaded above).
Main benefits:
- Keeping hot air in the heating chamber
- Better air quality for indoor Voron users
- Easy assembly & installation
What do you need:
- Two 6*20 fans (Model No. 1 and No. 3 are optional) / Two 6*25 Noctua fans (Do not print model No. 1 and No. 3)
- Must need Model No. 2, No. 4, No. 5, and the air duct cover (not labeled in the image)
- eight M3*30 hex socket cap screws
- Important! You need to cut a new piece of acrylic board for this upgrade, I have put a .dxf laser cutting file below, you may find it in the “Other files” section
Please kindly leave a comment below if you also want a close-loop air filtration system for different sizes Voron, I am always willing to help.
